Jean Lachaine is a professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Montreal and he is associate researcher at the Faculty of medicine of the University of Montreal. His teaching responsibilities and research interests include economic evaluation in health care, pharmacoeconomics, quality of life, drug utilization and treatment adherence.
He has worked extensively with the RAMQ databases. His research projects are funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), by Genome Canada and by pharmaceutical companies.
He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Quebec Institut national d'excellence en santé et en services sociaux (INESSS) as the expert in pharmacoeconomics.
He is also an active member of the Integration of Innovations Strategic Committee of Montreal InVivo, of the Quebec Network for Personalized Health Care and of the Personalized Medicine Partnership for Cancer (PMPC) and of The Quebec Network for Personalized Health Care (QNPHC).
